Every compulsory health insurance fund pays a fixed amount for new hearing aids for adults every six years. For children this amount is paid every four years. The amount distinguishes between the compulsory health insurances slightly. Please take the exact sum of money from your personal offer.
For 2008 the regulations of the compulsory health insurances are (no responsibility is taken for the correctness of this information):
- one-sided provision (monaural/ 1 hearing aid): 420 euro
- bilateral provision (binaural/ 2 hearing aids): 756 euro
- ear mold per ear: 35 euro
Concerning primary care health insurances will bear the costs. Costs not covered by the health insurance amount to at least 10 euro per hearing aid. The additional payment increases with the price of the hearing aid.
The private insurances´ amount differs a lot and depends on the contract with the health insurance. To get the detailed information, we can contact your health insurance.
What is the price for a hearing aid?
Comparable to hotels, hearing aids can be classified in categories. More stars are comparable to more comfort and according to this a higher price.
